I’m not going to lie, I'm disappointed. Yes, I lost. I got 47% of the votes last night against the corrupt, career politician, legislative lawyer, leftist liberal, who never aligns with God’s word, minority leader in the South Carolina Senate. The people’s voice was heard. Aiken, Barnwell, and Colleton Counties did vote for me. And I thank you. But Allendale, Bamberg, and Orangeburg Counties still have folks who are loyal to the Democratic Party and are conditioned to simply push a D. Until they are willing to vote for a person instead of a party, those three counties will continue to have the highest taxes, highest unemployment rates, and highest crime rates in the state. Please join me in prayer for the people of those three counties specifically.

I couldn’t have worked any harder. And I truly believed that God wanted something new for our area. I am grateful for all of the support and help from so many amazing people. The journey has been a blessing. The amount of people that I met on the campaign trail gives me hope for the future. God is good. Psalm 139 is a wonderful reminder of how good God is and how he has a plan and a purpose for each of us.

On a brighter note, we made history last night in Bamberg County getting not one but two Republicans elected to County Council for the first time ever! School board members were elected rather than appointed and I am proud to have been a part of that happening.

I am still the Bamberg County Republican Party Chairwoman and I am just getting started bringing transparency and accountability to an area that needs it badly.
