Did you know that Senator Brad Hutto is accepting campaign contributions from businesses that directly benefit from his legislation? Here’s one glaring example: Hutto sponsored a bill (Bill 265) allowing stores that sell wine and beer under 20% ABV to operate without a liquor license. Conveniently, he received $5,000 in campaign contributions from wine stores across South Carolina that stood to gain from this bill.

This is just another example of politicians selling out to special interests. If you’re tired of politicians like Hutto being bought and paid for by the highest bidder, it’s time for a change. Sharon Carter is a leader who puts people first, not profits, and is committed to protecting the interests of District 40.
